Throughout his long association with the Paint Horse breed, Fred Burton has been involved with the success of many well-known horses.

The most notable of these Paint Horses was The Artist which was the 10th inductee into the Paint Horse Association of Australia Hall of Fame in 2013. The Artist was also The PHAA Royal Show Champion, National Champion, State Champion, Sire of Champions and Senior Halter Champion. In addition, he was three times National Show Senior Champion Halter Stallion in three consecutive years.
